Job summary

Qcentrio in India seeks an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 6–8 years in software testing and strong Python skills to design scalable automation frameworks and drive quality across projects.

You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating across teams, building robust test suites with Selenium, Playwright, and Cucumber/BDD, and ensuring reliable CI/CD integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or engineering is required.
• 6–8 years of QA automation experience in software testing with Python.
• Hands‑on experience building and scaling automation frameworks.
• Proficient with Python‑based frameworks and libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with Selenium, PyTest, Playwright, and Cucumber/BDD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications.
• Define testing objectives within Agile processes.
• Communicate testing status, risks, and issues.
• Manage QA environments, builds, and deployments.
• Design and develop test automation using Selenium/Cucumber/Playwright.
• Automate and run regression suites for existing and new solutions.
• Provide metrics and reporting on testing outcomes.

Job Description

• 6 to 8 years of QA Automation experience in software testing activities including automation using python
• A self-managed individual with a proven record to build and scale the automation frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Object-oriented language like Python including framework design with advance python
• In-depth experience with leading automation testing tools/frameworks like Selenium, behave/Cucumber/BDD, PyTest, Playwright
• Should be experienced with python open-source libraries like Pandas, NumPy and visualization tools
• Should be proficient in a database with SQL server or Postgres
• Well versed with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and techniques
• Ability and willingness to work as an individual contributor or as a team member as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies

Responsibilities

• Develop and document application test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications
• Evaluate requirements and define testing objectives and approaches while working in Agile methodology
• Provide effective communication regarding issues, testing status, and potential risks
• Manage, maintain QA environments along with build and deployments
• Design and develop test automation solutions using Cucumber / Selenium, and other technologies determined to best suit application's requirement
• Automate and execute test scenarios/ run regression suits for existing and new solutions
• Provides transparency through well-defined metrics, automation testing results, and reporting

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience
