Job summary

Trekea Mobile is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst / Automation Test Engineer (Contract) for a junior to mid-level position with 2–5 years in automation testing. The role is work-from-home and contractual in nature, joining a team focused on test automation and QA processes in aviation/domains.

You will design and execute test scripts, collaborate with development and QA teams, and contribute to automated frameworks. This is a remote contract opportunity with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 2–5 years of automation testing experience.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver and test automation frameworks.
• Good command of English and agile development processes.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with the development and quality assurance teams to identify test requirements, develop test cases, and implement test automation solutions. Additionally, you will analyze test results, report defects, and collaborate with the team to resolve issues.

Your main responsibilities:

• Preparation of standard test scenarios in collaboration with product management, development, and delivery teams, working closely with the Development Team.
• Execute tests on various components and features to help identify and report technical and functional issues.
• Assist in designing test scenarios to achieve comprehensive coverage of requirements; prepare and execute test cases, log defects, and contribute to managing the overall testing process.
• Participate actively in the Agile Scrum process, supporting the software development workflow and promoting standardization practices.
• Support the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and related tools/frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather test requirements and understand application functionality.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects or areas for improvement.
• Continuously learn and contribute to enhancing test automation frameworks and processes.
• Exposure to mobile automation (e.g., Appium) or ability to quickly learn and work with mobile automation, particularly using JavaScript.

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree / BE/B-Tech or equivalent in a technical field with 2-5 years of experience in Automation Testing
• Strong knowledge on Testing Process and Methodologies.
• Strong experience in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C#
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, BDD, Cucumber
• Understanding of API testing and tools like Postman.
• Understanding of Mobile Automation testing and tools like Appium.
• Good working knowledge of agile development processes
• Knowledge on Defect management tool like JIRA
• Team spirit, strong analytical skills, attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with excellent level of proficiency in written English.
