We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst with hands-on experience in testing applications developed for CAD (2D/3D) visualization, design, and configuration. At MillerKnoll, you’ll be part of a collaborative team, contributing to the entire QA lifecycle—test planning, automation, execution, and customer support—while working closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform software testing and QA activities including test planning, test case creation, defect tracking, and product validation.
- Review requirements, create traceability documents, and author quality reports and technical documentation.
- Design and execute test automation scripts using automation frameworks and in-house tools.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts and liaise with customers to align QA expectations.
- Build, maintain, and optimize testing environments and configurations.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, developers, and data specialists to ensure smooth delivery.
- Prepare project artifacts such as presentations, flowcharts, and diagrams; deliver demos of QA outcomes.
- Ensure QA processes are followed effectively within the Scrum team.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to achieve business objectives.
Criteria & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in the software industry, with at least 3+ years in CAD application testing; or 6+ years of CAD design experience with strong knowledge of software testing.
- Hands‑on experience with testing 2D/3D CAD customization tools and web applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or IT.
- Domain knowledge in MCAD, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
- Proven expertise in Software QA methodologies, Agile/Waterfall, test automation, and regression testing.
- Experience with CAD/CAE tools for modeling, prototyping, and solid 3D modeling.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently, gather requirements, and suggest solutions.
- Flexible to work in UK/US shifts as needed.
Beneficial Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Hands‑on 3D application testing and visualization experience.
- Knowledge of C/C++ programming for automation opportunities.
- 2–3 years’ experience in desktop application automation.
- 1 year of support experience in software testing.
- Interest in user experience (UX), usability standards, and design quality.
- Certification in software testing standards/qualifications (e.g., ISTQB).
