The incumbent will conduct second party audits, act as an inspection coordinator with vendors and TPI agencies, and ensure QA/QC requirements meet project specifications and international codes. The candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering background with 4+ years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of ISO 9001, and hands-on experience in inspection, welding, and material certification

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in QA/QC or related role in engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience with ITPs, QA/QC documents and testing procedures.
• Understanding of ASME, ASTM, BS EN and API material standards.
• Welding and fabrication inspection experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reading fabrication drawings and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform second party audits of vendors and sub-contractors.
• Coordinate inspections between vendors and third-party agencies.
• Review project QA/QC requirements from specifications or codes.
• Prepare QA/QC documents like ITPs and testing procedures.
• Review vendor ITPs and quality documents for compliance.
• Review material certifications to ensure PO compliance.

QC Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform second party audit of vendors and sub-contractors.
• Work as inspection co-ordinator between our vendor and TPI agencies for source inspections.
• Review and understand Project QA/QC requirements from applicable project specifications or international codes.
• Responsible for preparing QA/QC documents like ITP, WPS & Other Testing procedures required for projects.
• Responsible for review and approval of vendor’s ITP and other quality procedures.
• Responsible for review of Material certifications / MRB to ensure material compliance to code and P.O requirements.

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 2-3 years or Diploma in mechanical Engineering with 5-6 years’ experience.

Skills & Abilities

• Basic Knowledge on ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Work experience as internal auditors / second party audit (Preferable).
• Work experience as inspection co-ordinator.
• Knowledge on ASME , ASTM ,BS , BSEN and API standards for material requirements.
• Hands on experience in measuring instruments.
• Experience in vendor inspection / receiving inspection for major materials such as Pipes, fittings, flanges, Valves, rotating equipment etc.
• Experience in performing shop inspections such as fit up, welding & painting etc.
• Knowledge and experience in working with Major Oil & Gas Company specifications are added advantage.
• Experience in Preparation and review of Quality plans and test procedures.
• Knowledge of reading and understanding fabrication drawings.
• Ability to read and understand international standards.
• Experience in SAP QM module is added advantage.
