Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an experienced QA/QC leader for data center construction in Gandhinagar, India. You will oversee QA/QC programs, drive inspections, and ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

You will coordinate with project teams, manage non-conformances, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across electrical, mechanical/HVAC, fire protection, and monitoring systems to ensure high-quality handovers and long-term reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of QA/QC experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• At least 5 years in data center or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with data center standards (Uptime Institute, TIA-942).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert oversight of QA/QC for data center construction, ensuring compliance with standards and client specs.
• Develop and implement QA/QC plans, inspection schedules, and testing procedures for electrical, mechanical/HVAC, fire protection, and specialty systems.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and material certifications for conformance to project specs.
• Conduct field inspections, document findings, and track non-conformances with corrective actions.
• Collaborate with PMs, design teams, contractors, and commissioning agents to resolve quality issues.
• Lead pre-installation meetings, QC reviews, and lessons-learned sessions to drive improvement.
• Verify calibration and testing of critical systems (UPS, generators, cooling, monitoring).
• Maintain QA documentation including inspection records, test results, punch lists, and as-builts.

Job Description

• Provide expert oversight of quality assurance and quality control protocols for mission-critical data center construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement comprehensive QA/QC plans, inspection schedules, and testing procedures specific to data center infrastructure including electrical systems, mechanical/HVAC, fire protection, and specialty systems.
• Conduct technical reviews of submittals, shop drawings, and material certifications to verify conformance with project specifications and data center design standards (Uptime Institute, TIA-942).
• Perform field inspections and audits of construction activities, workmanship quality, and installation methods, documenting findings and non-conformances through detailed reports and corrective action tracking.
• Collaborate with project management, design teams, contractors, and commissioning agents to resolve quality issues and ensure seamless integration of building systems.
• Lead pre-installation meetings, quality control reviews, and lessons-learned sessions to drive continuous improvement and prevent defect recurrence.
• Verify calibration and testing of critical systems including UPS, generators, cooling systems, and monitoring equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Maintain comprehensive quality documentation including inspection records, test results, punch lists, and as-built verification for client handover and warranty compliance.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to project teams on data center quality standards, best practices, and emerging construction technologies.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in QA/QC for commercial or industrial construction with at least 5 years specializing in data center or mission-critical facilities.
