Our Purpose

TERADYNE, where experience meets innovation and driving excellence in every connection. We are fueled by creativity and diversity of thought and in our workforce. Our employees are supported to innovate and learn something new every day. We cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views, and experiences. We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team – one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.

Universal Robots, part of Teradyne Robotics, is the world market leader in collaborative robots (cobots), making products that empower our customers and positively transform the way they work. Teradyne Robotics is a division of Teradyne and includes Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR). Our global R&D organization of 200+ engineers builds the software and systems behind every cobot we ship.

Opportunity Overview

You will join a team of talented and passionate engineers developing, testing, and optimizing the software and systems that let us simulate our robot platforms and the environments they work in.

As a QA/QC Engineer on the Simulation team, you will own the quality of everything the team produces — simulation software and services, 3D assets, rendering output, and synthetic datasets. Engineers, ML teams, and customers rely on simulation to make real decisions about UR cobots and MiR mobile robots, so correctness and reliability are not optional.

This is a hands-on role combining test automation, quality engineering, and a sharp eye for detail. You will build test strategies and automated frameworks that cover application functionality, asset quality, rendering accuracy, and dataset integrity, and you will work closely with simulation engineers, dataset engineers, third-party asset vendors, and the wider R&D organization in Denmark and Bangalore.

Your responsibilities and tasks include:
  • Define and own test strategies, test plans, and test cases for simulation software, tools, services, and web applications.
  • Build and maintain automated test suites — functional, regression, integration, and performance — integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop automated quality checks for 3D assets, including geometry, real-world scale, pivots, materials, collision meshes, physics properties, and naming conventions.
  • Validate synthetic datasets for label accuracy, annotation consistency, format compliance, and distribution coverage.
  • Build image-based and visual regression tests for rendering and sensor simulation output.
  • Verify that simulated robot behaviour matches expected results from real hardware and reference scenarios.
  • Define acceptance criteria and quality benchmarks for deliveries from third-party asset vendors, and review their work against them.
  • Log, triage, and track defects, and drive root-cause analysis together with engineering teams.
  • Define and report quality metrics that give the team clear visibility of release readiness.
  • Write clean, well-tested, and documented test code, and participate actively in code reviews.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, tooling, and documentation across the team.
All About You

We seek individuals who share our passion and determination. Our commitment to customer success drives us to go the extra mile. If you're ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.

We value diversity in culture, competence, and experience. We expect you to bring a number of qualifications to be considered for this role.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software QA, test automation, or quality control.
  • Strong programming proficiency in Python for building automated tests and tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with test frameworks such as pytest, Playwright, or Selenium.
  • Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle, and defect-tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment with version control and modern development workflows.
Proficiency required in at least four of the following qualifications:
  • Testing 3D applications, game engines, simulators, or graphics software.
  • 3D formats and tools such as USD, FBX, glTF, Blender, Maya, or Houdini.
  • Validation of computer vision datasets and annotation formats (COCO, KITTI, YOLO).
  • Image comparison and visual regression techniques (OpenCV, perceptual diffing).
  • Robotics software, ROS2, or robot simulation environments.
  • Performance and load testing of services and GPU workloads.
  • API testing for REST or GraphQL services.
  • Docker and containerised test environments.
  • Data analysis with pandas or NumPy for quality reporting.
  • ISTQB or an equivalent testing certification.
