Job summary

State Street Corporation in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Functional & Automation Test Engineer (8-10 years) to lead testing in the Financial Services domain.

You will collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to define test strategies, develop and maintain test plans, data, and artifacts, and drive automation into CI/CD workflows.

The role requires strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with TOSCA, Python, Selenium and UFT, plus a solid grasp of regression, system and UAT testing.

Qualifications

• Capital markets and financial services testing experience.
• Experience in functional and automation testing across SDLC.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and verification.
• Proficiency with Scrum/Agile modelling and adaptive software development.
• Experience with TOSCA, Python, Selenium, UFT for test automation.
• Defect tracking with RTC/Jira and test management tools.

Job Title QA - Functional & Automation Tester - Officer Role Summary & Role Description

We are looking for a Functional & Automation Test Engineer with around 8-10 years of experience to work exclusively on Financial Services domain.

Person in this position will collaborate with peers on cross functional teams (primarily agile) to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What you will be responsible for

• Understanding business requirements and defining test strategies for software applications.


• Develop and maintain Test plan, Test cases, Test data, Test backups and other SQA artifacts.


• Maintain Automated Scripts for complex application workflows/process.


• Identify regression cases and automate test suites.


• Incorporate automated test scripts into continuous integration process.


• Perform Integration, System, Regression, Compatibility and User acceptance testing phases.


• Participate in daily Agile standups, iteration planning, product demos and application walkthroughs.


• Maintaining and tracking the test deliverables in test management tool.


• Taking responsibility of the QA deliverables.


• Oversees the day to day activities of one or more project teams.


• Prepares project report and ensures metrics are kept up to date.


• Reviews daily processes and suggests improvements as required.


• To coordinate with all stakeholders in the program – Dev/Business/PM teams.


• Works closely with other test teams, development teams, project managers, analysts, and deployment and support personnel to support project and department goals.


• Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases and support.


• Replicating the production defects in lower environments.

• Strong knowledge in SQL.


• Strong Practical experience using Scrum, Agile modelling and adaptive software development.


• Test automation tools like TOSCA, Python, Selenium & UFT.
