Job summary

SAP Fioneer GmbH in Pune invites experienced QA/Testing professionals to join an innovative software testing team. You will plan, execute, and refine manual and automated tests across web and backend systems.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers to define acceptance criteria, report defects, and improve regression suites. A strong background in Agile/Scrum and API testing is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Engineering/Computer Science; 8–12 years in software testing/QA/automation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proven quality engineer in a development team.
• Experience with QA processes, test management, and web/backend test design and bug analysis.
• Hands-on with Agile/Scrum; API testing tools knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and executing manual and exploratory tests based on requirements and user stories.
• Collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and designers to ensure a clear understanding of acceptance criteria.
• Reporting and tracking bugs, defects, and issues using defect management tools.
• Defining regression test scope based on quality risks.
• Contributing to regression test suites and supporting test automation efforts.
• Continuously suggesting improvements for product quality and testing practices.
• Monitoring issue severity and communicating risks to the team.
• Staying updated on testing trends and sharing knowledge within the team.

Qualifications:

• Strong educational qualifications (Engineering majors, MCA from reputed institutes, master's in quality management is preferred) with 8-12 years of experience in software Testing/Quality Assurance/ Automation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience working in a development team as quality engineer
• Experience in QA processes and tools, test management systems, designing and running tests on web applications or backend systems and analysing bugs - Experience with writing and executing manual test cases and plans.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and changing business environment. Flexibility and adaptability are must haves to be successful in this role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, proven track record of building strong relationships and establishing credibility with key stakeholders across different lines of business and hierarchies
• Experience in being part of a large-scale software development projects distributed across geographical locations
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Knowledge on API testing tools will be an added advantage. (Postman/Neuman/Bruno)

Nice to have Skills:

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Blueprint, or similar).
• Knowledge of the main certification methods (ISO, CMMI, etc.) is a plus
• Functional knowledge of Banking, Finance, Omni-channel Banking, Payments etc
• Hands on experience in DevOps and different tools used for Code Quality check & Deployment
