Job summary

DesiCrew Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai is seeking an automation-focused tester to build and maintain automated functional and regression tests for web applications.

You will convert existing manual tests to automated coverage, tackle flaky tests, and ensure fast, reliable runs within the release cycle. The role requires hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress, plus scripting in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience automating tests for web applications with a modern framework.
• Working knowledge of at least one programming language used for test automation — JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java or C#.
• An understanding of test design: what to automate, what to leave manual, and why.
• Familiarity with version control, CI pipelines and defect tracking.
• A degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.

About the role

You will build the automation that lets a client ship. On our travel-platform programme, regression that used to consume days of manual effort now runs itself and the team releases several times a week — that shift is the job.

What you will do

• Keep suites trustworthy: investigate failures, fix flakiness, and keep run times short enough to stay in the release path.
• Integrate test runs into CI so results reach the team on every build.
• Work with client engineering teams on defects — reproduce, isolate and report clearly enough to act on.

What you will bring

Working arrangements

Full time, on site at the delivery centre listed above. Standard working hours, with shift cover arranged within the team where a client programme runs to a different timezone.
