Job Summary

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in API testing, test automation using Selenium or Playwright, and the effective use of AI tools to improve test coverage, productivity, and quality engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Design, write, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Conduct API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium or Playwright.
• Identify automation opportunities and contribute to increasing automation coverage.
• Analyze test results, investigate failures, and report defects with detailed reproduction steps.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
• Ensure product quality and timely delivery of releases.

Automation & AI Requirements

• Hands-on experience in Automation Testing using Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
• Ability to create, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks and reusable test scripts.
• Experience automating web applications and API validations.
• Proficiency in Visual Studio Code (VS Code) for test automation development, debugging, and AI-assisted coding.
• Familiarity with Git and version control practices.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and automated test execution pipelines.

AI-Powered Testing Requirements

• Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve software testing activities and productivity.
• Experience leveraging tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI platforms.
• Use AI for test case generation, automation script creation, requirement analysis, test data generation, defect analysis, and documentation.
• Strong understanding of applying Generative AI in Quality Engineering workflows.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and defect management processes.
• Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Strong test case design, execution, and defect reporting skills.
• Experience working with Selenium or Playwright automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in Visual Studio Code (VS Code) and Git.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Jira or similar project management and defect tracking tools.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Exposure to AI-driven testing platforms and modern Quality Engineering practices.
