Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a QA Automation Engineer based in India to strengthen the quality and reliability of mobile security products through modern test automation.

You will design, maintain, and expand automated test coverage across iOS and Android SDKs as new features are introduced, working closely with QA engineers and developers to keep SDKs stable and production-ready.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on mobile test automation or mobile development experience transitioning into test automation.
• Experience with mobile test automation in Swift/XCTest or Kotlin/Espresso/UI Automator stack.
• Ability to read SDK source code to design and maintain effective automated tests.
• Experience with GitLab CI and YAML-based pipelines.
• Familiarity with Bash scripting and Gradle.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Automation Engineer based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to strengthen the quality and reliability of mobile security products through modern test automation.

You will design, maintain, and expand automated test coverage across iOS and Android SDKs as new capabilities and versions are introduced.

Working closely with QA engineers and developers, you will help ensure that mobile SDKs remain stable, reliable, and production-ready.

The position combines hands-on automation engineering with CI/CD pipeline maintenance, test execution, and failure analysis.

You will work with real-device cloud testing environments and contribute to improving the efficiency and scalability of the automation framework.

The role is ideal for a hands-on QA professional who understands mobile technologies and enjoys solving complex testing challenges.

Accountabilities

• Design and implement automated test cases for iOS and Android SDKs using appropriate mobile testing frameworks and tools.
• Build, maintain, and extend automated test suites as SDKs evolve and new features are released.
• Increase automation coverage while ensuring tests remain reliable, maintainable, and aligned with current product functionality.
• Execute automated test runs using real-device cloud testing platforms and investigate, triage, and report failures.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and YAML, supporting efficient and repeatable test execution.
• Develop and maintain Bash scripts and Gradle configurations used across multiple SDK automation pipelines.
• Read and understand existing SDK and automation framework code to create effective and targeted tests.
• Collaborate closely with automation engineers, manual QA professionals, and feature developers to maintain comprehensive test coverage.
• Keep test documentation, known issues, maintenance notes, and other quality-related information accurate and up to date.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in test automation practices, tooling, and pipeline efficiency.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in mobile test automation or mobile development experience transitioning into test automation.
• Practical experience with mobile test automation in at least one major mobile technology stack.
• For iOS, experience with Swift and XCTest/XCUITest; or for Android, experience with Kotlin and Compose Test, Espresso, or UI Automator.
• Ability to read and understand SDK source code sufficiently to design and maintain effective automated tests.
• Experience working with CI/CD environments, particularly GitLab CI and YAML-based pipelines.
• Familiarity with Bash scripting and Gradle.
• Ability to understand, maintain, and extend an existing automation framework and test suite.
• Strong understanding of Git and standard version control workflows.
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate test failures and identify potential causes.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills when working with QA, engineering, and development teams.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools or assistants is an advantage, particularly for accelerating test development and maintenance.
