Job summary

OneSpan is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to write and maintain automated tests for our iOS and Android SDKs within the Mobile Security Suite. You will contribute to automation coverage as the SDKs evolve, reading SDK code to test it effectively.

You will design test cases, extend existing suites, run tests on real-device clouds, and collaborate with automation and product teams to keep coverage current as new features ship.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in mobile test automation (or mobile development moving into test automation).
• Mobile test automation in iOS or Android with test frameworks and SDK testing capability.
• CI/CD familiarity with GitLab CI and YAML pipelines, Bash scripting, and Gradle.
• Ability to read, understand, and extend an existing automation framework and test suite.
• Git and standard version control workflows.

Responsibilities

• Write automated tests across iOS and Android SDKs using XCTest/XCUITest and Compose-based testing tools.
• Build and extend automation suites and CI pipelines as SDKs evolve.
• Run automated tests on real-device cloud testing tools and triage failures.
• Support pipelines and collaborate with automation, QA, and developers to maintain coverage.
• Document test cases, known issues, and maintenance notes for the team.

At OneSpan, we're looking for a hands-on QA Automation Engineer to write and maintain automated tests across our iOS and Android SDKs and help grow our automation coverage as the SDKs evolve. You haveexperience in mobile test frameworks and enough fluency in the SDK code to write and maintain reliable tests — you don't need to be a full iOS or Android app developer. Our Mobile Security Suite (MSS) spans multiple SDKs across iOS, Android, and server-side platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Write Automated Tests: Design and implement automated test cases across our iOS andAndroid SDKs, using XCTest and XCUITest on iOS, and Compose-compatible testing tools onAndroid.
• Build & Maintain Automation: Maintain and extend existing automated test suites and CIpipelines, and build new test coverage as SDKs evolve and new features ship.
• Run & Triage Tests: Execute automated test runs using real-device cloud testing tools, and triageand report test failures.
• Support the Pipelines: Work with GitLab CI (YAML) pipelines, Bash scripts, and Gradle acrossour multiple SDK pipelines, making updates and improvements as needed.
• Collaborate: Work closely with the automation team, manual QA engineers, and featuredevelopers to keep test coverage current as new features and SDK versions ship.
• Document: Keep test case documentation, known issues, and maintenance notes up to date forthe team.

Required Technical Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in mobile test automation (or mobile development moving intotest automation).
• Mobile test automation in at least one mobile stack — iOS (Swift, XCTest/XCUITest) or Android(Kotlin, Compose Test/Espresso/UI Automator); able to read the SDK code well enough to test it.
• CI/CD & Scripting: Familiarity with GitLab CI and YAML pipelines, Bash scripting, and Gradle.
• Ability to read, understand, and extend an existing automation framework and test suite.
• Git and standard version control workflows.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AI coding tools/assistants to speed up test writing and maintenance.
