Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Python Developer with 3-4 years of IT experience to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python-based applications. You will work with Django/Flask/FastAPI and implement RESTful services, integrate third-party APIs, and contribute to data processing pipelines in an agile environment.

The ideal candidate has strong Python skills, solid knowledge of SQL databases, and familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in Python development and related frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Python, OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience building, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable Python applications.
• Experience with web frameworks: Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs and Git version control.
• Strong SQL knowledge with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Ability to design and optimize SQL queries and database objects.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is desirable.
• Experience with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and AI service integrations is advantageous.
• Agile/Scrum development experience.

Job description

Python Developer 3-4 years of experience in Information Technology with strong development experience in Python and related frameworks.

• Strong proficiency in Python programming, object-oriented design principles, data structures, algorithms, and software development best practices.
• Experience in building, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable applications using Python.
• Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and application lifecycle management.
• Experience with web frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar technologies.
• Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services and applications.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development practices.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Ability to design, write, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support application requirements.
• Experience in performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting application and database-related issues.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is desirable.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools is an added advantage.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, AI-assisted development tools, or AI service integrations is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Python libraries used in data processing, AI, and automation such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar technologies is desirable.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, coding standards, and best practices.
• Ensure application security, reliability, scalability, and performance through effective design and implementation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
