Job summary

Nusummit Technologies is seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with 7+ years of experience to support Morgan Stanley Advantage Services (MSAS) from our Bangalore office (Marathahalli, WFO). The ideal candidate combines software engineering with hands-on SRE, DevOps, and cloud-native platform expertise.

You will design and build scalable backend services in Python, implement automation for reliability, and enhance CI/CD and deployment processes while supporting mission-critical

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks
• Django, Flask, and FastAPI expertise
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) & design principles
• DevOps practices and CI/CD
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices following OO design.
• Develop automation to improve platform reliability, scalability, and availability.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Develop integrations with enterprise platforms, tools, and cloud-native services.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform RCA, and implement permanent resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and performance.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Support containerized apps deployed on Docker and Kubernetes.
• Optimize app performance, database interactions, and API response times.
• Participate in production support, on-call rotations, and devops initiatives.
• Follow engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, and documentation.

About the Role

NuSummit is looking for a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support strategic engineering initiatives for Morgan Stanley Advantage Services (MSAS). This role is ideal for engineers with a strong software engineering foundation in Python and modern backend frameworks, coupled with hands‑on experience in SRE, DevOps, and cloud‑native platforms.

You will be responsible for developing platform services, automating operational workflows, improving platform reliability, and supporting mission‑critical enterprise applications running at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices following Object‑Oriented Design principles.
• Develop automation solutions to improve platform reliability, scalability, availability, and operational efficiency.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using DevOps best practices.
• Develop integrations with enterprise platforms, internal tools, and cloud‑native services.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement permanent resolutions.
• Collaborate with Development, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to improve system reliability and performance.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions for proactive incident management.
• Support containerized applications deployed on Docker and Kubernetes.
• Optimize application performance, database interactions, and API response times.
• Participate in production support, incident management, on‑call rotations, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Follow engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
