Job summary

Zorba AI Pune / Hyderabad is seeking a senior engineer to design and optimize conversational AI flows. You will own end-to-end integration of LLM-driven interactions, manage stateful workflows, and improve reliability via automated tests and robust deployment pipelines.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, deep Python development, and hands-on REST/mTLS/OAuth2 work, CI/CD, and production debugging. You will collaborate across teams to deliver scalable dialogue systems.

Qualifications

• Professional Python development with 5+ years experience.
• Designing and debugging stateful, multi-step systems with 3+ years experience.
• REST API integration including mTLS, OAuth2, JWT client assertions, cert lifecycle, and secret management (3+ years).
• Automated testing: unit test design, mocking, and test strategy (3+ years).
• CI/CD pipeline construction using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps (2+ years).
• Git-based branching and environment promotion workflows (3+ years).
• Production debugging from logs, traces, and metrics without interactive debugger (3+ years).
• Reading and working within an existing framework or SDK that must not be modified - demonstrable.

Responsibilities

• Build and modify conversational flows across dialog, orchestration, and knowledge layers.
• RAG / knowledge-retrieval tuning.
• Own escalation logic: transfer conditions, routing destinations, context payload, and reason-code registration.
• Experience with LLM-driven conversation: prompt behavior, guardrail design, and awareness models arise content.
• Integrate backend systems through the established handler layer.
• Author automated tests — unit tests plus platform conversation-level test cases — and maintain regression suite.
• Build and own CI/CD: validation, test execution, and gated promotion across environment tiers.
• Own deployment and rollback; act as first responder for production incidents.
• Independently diagnose and remediate defects to root cause, with regression tests.
• Own configuration and feature-flag governance.
• Maintain design, test, and state documentation in alignment with running behavior.
• Reconcile inbound platform changes that originate outside version control, classify impact.
