Job summary

SAIS is seeking a Lead AI Python Developer with 7–10 years of hands-on software experience to lead design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions using Python. The role blends technical leadership with writing production-grade code and driving AI initiatives from design through deployment.

You will guide AI/ML and Python teams, implement LLM-based applications, manage AI pipelines, and build scalable REST services with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of production-grade Python applications.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. Candidates must have strong practical coding experience and should be capable of independently writing, reviewing, debugging, optimizing, and architecting Python and AI-related solutions.

Candidates with only managerial, coordination, or project-management experience without strong hands-on Python and AI development experience will not be suitable.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.

Experience

7–10 years of relevant professional experience, with substantial hands-on experience in Python, AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and backend development, along with proven technical leadership or team-lead experience.
