Job summary

Infosys is seeking an experienced data engineer to design, implement, and optimize ETL pipelines in a cloud-enabled environment. You will work with Python and SQL to process large datasets, validate data quality, and collaborate with analytics teams across diverse business units.

You will also optimize data models, tune queries, and ensure data governance and security standards are followed. This role requires strong debugging skills and the ability to work with modern data warehousing

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
• Advanced SQL skills including joins, subqueries, window functions, and performance tuning.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools or frameworks and data pipeline orchestration.

Job description

• Strong proficiency in Python (data manipulation, scripting, automation)
• Advanced knowledge of SQL (joins, subqueries, window functions, performance tuning)
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools or frameworks
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (fact/dimension tables, star schema)
• Ability to work with large datasets and optimize data processing workflows
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources
• Write efficient, scalable, and well-documented Python scripts for data processing and automation
