Job summary

World Wide Technology seeks a Security Developers (Python) for a 12-month contract to integrate vendor solutions, deploy on Azure or other clouds, and build secure Python services and APIs. You will work across security, infrastructure, platform engineering, and development teams to deliver scalable, production-ready capabilities.

The role requires strong Python skills (5–8 years), hands-on API and automation experience, and solid knowledge of Linux, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

Role & responsibilities

• Integrate vendor solutions with the firm's enterprise infrastructure, platforms, APIs, identity systems, and deployment pipelines.
• Deploy, configure, and support application frameworks on Microsoft Azure or other cloud environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and operational readiness.
• Develop Python-based services, APIs, automation scripts, integration components, and tooling to support platform capabilities.
• Build solutions that enhance the firm's security posture across applications, developer workflows, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, platform engineering, cloud, and application development teams to deliver secure and production-ready capabilities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong programming skills in Python, with 5-8 years of hands-on development experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining Python-based services, APIs, and automation tooling.
• Understanding of core software architecture, design patterns, and application security concepts.
• Good knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with APIs, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud or containerized environments.
• Ability to work with security, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver secure enterprise capabilities.

Desired Skills

• Experience securing applications in enterprise environments.
• Experience integrating services with internal tools, enterprise APIs, identity systems, data platforms, or workflow systems.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization patterns such as OAuth, OIDC, SSO, RBAC, ABAC, and least-privilege access.
• Familiarity with security controls such as input validation, output validation, permissioning, data-loss prevention, sandboxing, and policy enforcement.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with secrets management, service mesh, API gateways, SIEM, DLP, and enterprise logging platforms.
• Understanding of secure software development, threat modeling, and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with databases, data retrieval, and access-controlled data systems.
