Summary: The Machine Vision Algorithms (MVA) modernization project aims to bring KinetiX Wayside Machine Vision Inspection products to the state of the art in the market. This project involves migrating all existing MVA capabilities from MATLAB to Python and transitioning from traditional image processing techniques to deep learning methods. Additionally, the project will move from a monolithic MATLAB pipeline to a microservice container-based DAG architecture. The client is seeking a supplier partner with proven experience to provide MVA modernization, demonstrating a high level of accountability and ownership.

Responsibilities:

• Migrate all existing MVA capabilities (TruckView or TRKV, CSCView or CSCV, TrainView or TRNV, AirHoseView or AHV, BrakeView (Pad, Disk and Shoe) or BRKV, WheelView or WV, TreadView or TRDV) from MATLAB to Python.
• Transition from traditional image processing techniques to state-of-the-art deep learning methods.
• Transform the current monolithic MATLAB pipeline into a microservice container-based Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) architecture.

Must Have Skills:

• Expertise in Python
• Working knowledge of MATLAB as the code will be converted from MATLAB to Python
• Knowledge/working experience of utilizing LLM-converted code
• Microservice Architecture Implementation: Transform monolithic architecture into microservice container
• Create Docker containers for each microservice
• CI/CD Integration
• Deep learning models implemented in PyTorch
