Job summary

Talkwisely seeks a senior Python/Django backend engineer to own end-to-end systems across multiple products. You will work directly with the CTO, drive projects from blank repo to production, and adapt across product lines as priorities shift.

Daily you will use AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality. You will design scalable backend services, manage AWS infrastructure, and own PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, and migrations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Python and Django in production.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, system design, design patterns.
• Production AWS experience + PostgreSQL knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend systems with Python/Django across product lines.
• Architect and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch).
• Own PostgreSQL end-to-end: schema design, indexing, migrations.
• Build webhook systems with idempotency and retry logic.
• Implement real-time features with WebSockets using Django Channels.
• Lead projects from inception to deployment and handoff; mentor juniors.

You'll work directly with the CTO, lead projects from blank repo to production, switch between product lines as priorities shift, and use AI dev tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as a core part of your daily workflow.Talkwisely builds AI-powered telephony platforms and call centre analytics for enterprises.
