Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Generative AI engineer to design and implement GenAI models, using GPT/LLMs and LangChain within Chennai. You will work on RAG integration, prompt engineering, and Python-based interactions with LLMs, while mentoring teammates and staying updated on AI advances.

Candidates located in Chennai with 4–10 years of experience are encouraged to apply, especially those familiar with Flask or FastAPI and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Qualifications

• Experience in generative AI development with 2+ years in related work.
• Design, develop and deploy AI models using GPT, VAE, GANs and LLMs.
• Implement RAG for contextual augmentation.
• Strong Python skills to interact with LLMs via API keys and prompts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms is a plus.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

• Minimum 2 years of experience in generative AI development.
• Designing, developing and implementing generative AI models and algorithms utilizing techniques such as GPT, VAE, GANs & LLMs.
• RAG framework to add context
• Understanding robust Gen AI/LLM frameworks like Langchain to build the model and experience using robust Gen AI/LLM frameworks like Langchain to build the model.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in generative AI, machine learning, and deep learning techniques and identify opportunities to integrate them
• Experience in Python programming to interact with LLM using API key and use proper prompt to generate desired response
• Knowledge in Python web framework (Flask/FAST)
• Good communication and analytical skills and aspirations for adapting to new technologies. Providing technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Good to have:
