Job description

We are looking for a passionate Python Backend Developer with 4–7 years of experience to contribute to the development and integration of backend services that power our platform. The role focuses on building robust, scalable, and secure backend components, while integrating with distributed systems, open-source frameworks, and enterprise-grade services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and integration layers using Python
• Build and enhance REST APIs and microservices for data access, metadata exchange, and workflow automation
• Integrate backend services with external systems and enterprise frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, performant, and scalable service integrations
• Implement best practices in modular design, logging, monitoring, and exception handling
• Explore, extend, or build custom wrappers/adapters around open-source frameworks to meet product requirements

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask
• Solid understanding of REST API design, microservice communication, and integration patterns
• Exposure to distributed systems and event-driven architectures
• Familiarity integrating LLMs and AI services into backend applications, with hands-on exposure to prompt engineering and API usage
• Experience in service integration across APIs, databases, or external platforms
• Working experience in Linux environments
• Proficiency with Git, Docker, and containerized development workflows
• Understanding of authentication and authorization principles
• Awareness of security best practices in backend development and integrations
• Graduate – B.Tech./M.Tech./MCA with consistent academic performance

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or Airflow integrations
• Understanding of database concepts and data modelling/design
• Exposure to NoSQL or vector databases
• Familiarity with Kafka or other message brokers
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Quick learner, collaborative team player, demonstrates ownership
