Job summary

Logic Planet is seeking a Senior QA / Automation Engineer with a strong background in Broadband, Cable Modem, and Gateway testing. The role involves hands-on Python automation, leading a QA team, and collaborating with customers and development teams to ensure end-to-end product quality.

The ideal candidate will design and execute manual and automated tests, develop Python-based frameworks, and drive QA improvements across releases, including production support and Hypercare activities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests for broadband products.
• Build and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and scripts.
• Validate gateway features: LAN/WAN, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, DNS, NAT, routing, Wi-Fi.
• Perform network, performance, scalability, and stability testing with Iperf and traffic generators.
• Diagnose issues using Wireshark, tcpdump, SNMP, logs, and CLI tools.
• Lead and mentor QA team of 34 engineers.
• Engage with customers, participate in defect triage, sprint reviews, and release readiness.
• Support Hypercare and production activities, including root-cause analysis and verification of fixes.
• Drive continuous QA improvements and automation coverage.

Python Automation Engineer - RDKB / CPE Networking

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA / Automation Engineer with a strong background in Broadband, Cable Modem, and Gateway testing. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in networking technologies, hands-on Python automation skills, and the ability to lead a small QA team while driving end-to-end product quality. This role requires close collaboration with customers, development teams, and stakeholders through technical discussions, defect triage meetings, release reviews, and production support activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases for Broadband, Cable Modems, Gateways, and related networking products.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Python-based automation frameworks and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and network validation testing.
• Validate gateway features including:
  • LAN/WAN connectivity
  • IPv4/IPv6
  • DHCP
  • DNS
  • NAT
  • Routing
  • Wi-Fi performance and stability
• Perform network, performance, scalability, and stability testing using tools such as Iperf, traffic generators, and packet analyzers.
• Diagnose, debug, and troubleshoot issues using Wireshark, tcpdump, SNMP, device logs, and CLI tools.
• Validate firmware upgrades, feature enhancements, and bug fixes while ensuring complete regression coverage across releases.
• Lead and mentor a QA team of 34 engineers, providing technical guidance, test reviews, and quality oversight.
• Participate in customer discussions, defect triage calls, sprint reviews, and release readiness meetings, providing clear quality metrics and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with development, product management, and support teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Support Hypercare and production activities, including issue reproduction, root-cause analysis, verification of fixes, and deployment validation.
• Drive continuous improvements in QA processes, automation coverage, and release quality.
