Successful candidates will reside in the Perry, IA area or a commutable distance. The clinical site is located at Dallas County Hospital, 610 10th Street, Perry, IA 50220.
Full‑time faculty have responsibilities in four areas: teaching, service, scholarship, and professional development. The annual workload is determined with the Program Head and may vary. Faculty typically spend the majority of their time teaching, but time allocations may change yearly. Teaching responsibilities include both undergraduate and graduate courses, with assignment based on credentials, program needs, and course type. Service includes leadership roles in departmental or institution‑wide governance, course‑lead, training and mentoring other faculty, student organization facilitation, student portfolio evaluation, curriculum work, vacation relief, and professional organization leadership. Scholarship is optional and varies with faculty interests, developed in consultation with the Dean or Program Head; examples include developing new academic solutions and publishing or presenting scholarly work. Professional Development requires 8 hours per year; additional development may be included in the annual workload by program approval.
