Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, sales-driven, and customer-focused Pet Store Sales & Customer Relationship Executive to greet customers, achieve sales targets, handle premium (HNI) clients, maintain product and expiry hygiene, and stay updated with product developments and pet care industry trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome customers warmly and understand their pet care needs.
  • Recommend suitable products and solutions to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets through effective selling, cross-selling, and upselling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regular and HNI clients by offering personalized service.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of pet food, accessories, grooming, and healthcare products.
  • Monitor product expiry dates, follow FIFO, remove near-expiry/expired stock, and update records to ensure safety and minimize losses.
  • Ensure shelves are well-stocked, properly displayed, and visually appealing.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, hygiene, and organized product storage.
  • Handle billing, POS operations, and assist in basic inventory management.
  • Track stock inward/outward and support periodic stock audits.
  • Collect customer feedback and resolve basic concerns in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate with hospital, grooming, boarding, and pharmacy teams for cross-referrals.
  • Stay updated on new product developments, offers, and promotions.
  • Continuously learn about pet care, nutrition, brands, and industry trends.
  • Prepare daily sales, stock, and expiry status reports as required.
  • Possess working knowledge of common veterinary medicines, supplements, dewormers, and preventive care products.
  • Assist customers in selecting OTC pet medicines and supplements as per veterinarian guidance.
  • Understand basic dosage, indications, and precautions for commonly sold pet medications (without prescribing).
  • Ensure medicines are stored as per guidelines (temperature, light, segregation).
  • Strictly monitor medicine expiry dates and batch-wise FIFO to avoid sale of expired products.
  • Handle prescription medicines only against valid vet prescriptions and follow store SOPs.
  • Coordinate with the in-house veterinary hospital/pharmacy team for medicine availability and clarifications.
  • Maintain proper records for medicine sales, inward, and expiry tracking.
  • Educate pet parents on safe usage, storage, and follow-up for medicines as advised by vets.
