Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a team of Buyers for the execution of operational purchasing activities. Each day, you will develop and lead improvement and standardization of transactional purchasing processes. You will also showcase your expertise by executing the implementation, operation, maintenance, and performance of supply chain systems and data analytics tools.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Nashik, India
You will be mainly accountable for
  • Ensuring operational Buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and group/business guidelines.
  • Securing effective execution of sourcing strategies in line with procurement strategy and category organization strategy through tactical/operational processes.
  • Making sure all operational Buyers understand strategies and execute processes accordingly.
  • Executing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and working capital (payment terms, lead times, order quantities and purchased material inventory), in accordance with group/business procurement guidelines and manufacturing unit objectives.

Qualifications for the role
  • You are immersed in purchase function in switchgear business.
  • You have 10 to 15 years of experience in Purchase, Supplier Performance, Revenue Targets, Inventory Management, OTD, Liaisoning with Suppliers and ABB team, Net-working Capital.
  • Should be able to monitor 120 domestic & 30 International vendor base. Capable of managing Conflicts with Supplier (i.e. Parts Quality, Payment disputes, Delivery, Price Negotiations, Delivery Prepone/Postponing).
  • Possess basic knowledge of MV Switchgears.
  • Degree in Mechanical engineering (should be full-time).
  • You are at ease communicating in English.
