Job summary

Synechron, a global technology consulting firm, invites a seasoned Prompt Engineer for its Mumbai team. You will design and optimize prompts for NLP/ML applications, work with large language models, and implement evaluation methodologies to ensure safe, effective AI solutions.

You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable AI capabilities in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on quality, governance, and impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in prompt engineering, NLP, ML product development, or related roles.
• Strong practical experience with large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama-family) and prompt design.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with model inference frameworks (Transformers, LangChain, or similar).
• Experience with evaluation frameworks, A/B testing, and metrics for language models.
• Familiarity with data labeling, annotation workflows, and prompt-based data augmentation.
• Solid understanding of ML safety, bias mitigation, and content policy considerations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize prompts for NLP/ML products using LLMs.
• Collaborate with data scientists to tune model performance and safety.
• Evaluate models using A/B tests and relevant metrics.
• Implement data labeling workflows and prompt-based data augmentation.
