An innovative organization is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to lead their business development efforts. About Us:

In the director of engineering role, you will lead the Dalgo engineering team with a focus on platform development, deployment as a SaaS, and operational excellence. Our development methodology is agile-driven and user-focused. We are also strong believers in documentation, unit, and integration testing, and have implemented these in our CI/CD pipelines on GitHub.
Note that all the work you do, will be open source and licensed under AGPL v3. We expect the applicant to be interested in developing software for the social sector, creating digital public goods as well as mentoring the engineering team with design and operational best practices.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales and Business Development to join our team.
- This remote position, based in India, offers a unique opportunity for candidates with 14+ total work experience, with 5+ years of domestic or international biz dev/sales leadership experience.
- Experience in forming strategic partnerships with NGOs, partners will be highly valuable.
- We welcome applicants with experience in Africa or Latin America who are passionate about leveraging technology for social impact.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and business development strategies that align with Project Tech4Dev's mission and objectives.
- This includes setting targets, identifying market opportunities, and driving revenue growth through innovative approaches to engaging with NGOs and partners globally.
Sales Management:
- Managing the entire sales process from finding leads to conversions. Developing a strong biz dev team to grow presence globally.
Market Awareness:
- Strong analytical skills to enable teams to conduct market research and analysis within the nonprofit sector, identifying growth opportunities and trends.
Data Analysis:
- Leveraging data analysis techniques to assess the effectiveness of our business development strategies within the NGO sector.
- By interpreting key metrics and trends, providing actionable insights to leadership, and informing strategic decision-making processes to drive sustainable growth and maximize our impact on communities.
Relationship Building:
- Ability to cultivate and nurture relationships with NGOs, understanding their unique challenges and providing exceptional customer service.
Leadership and Support:
- Lead and support sales team to reach their goals through coaching and mentorship.
Collaboration:
- Strong collaborative skills to work closely with marketing, product development, and finance teams to align BD efforts with organizational priorities.
Communication and Networking:
- Develop strategic annual plans for events and networking.
- Represent Tech4Dev at events and meetings, where we can meet new people, spread the word about our brand, and generate new leads.
International Experience:
- Experience working in international markets, particularly in regions such as Africa or Latin America, is desirable, along with an understanding of global non-profit dynamics and challenges.
Team Management:
- Strong skills in recruiting, training, and developing BD and sales team members, along with the ability to set clear performance expectations and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of successful senior-level business development or sales leadership roles, with a focus on driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.
- Experience in driving sales for tech platforms (SaaS or similar), particularly in the nonprofit or social impact space, is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing sales team.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective business development strategies.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Work Location and Travel:
- Work remotely from anywhere in India.
- Required travel every quarter for a week for Project Tech4Dev team meeting.
- Required to travel to prospective and current NGOs office as per the need of the engagement in India or Internationally.
