Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Planning engineer for industrial/PEB execution in India. The role involves planning, organizing, and managing resources to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will monitor master schedules, coordinate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders, and oversee site activities to ensure drawings and specifications are followed.

Qualifications

• B.E Civil with 8 to 10 years of experience in civil / PEB execution for industrial / PEB projects.
• Technical awareness of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works.
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress of Master project schedule and site activities.
• Oversee execution at site to ensure alignment with drawings and specifications.
• Issue timely reminders to contractors about schedule delays.
• Ensure adherence to work statements/methodologies and site documentation for each item.
• Flag potential bottlenecks and furnish reports on critical activities to the client.
• Advise contractors on improving resource productivity and work study techniques.
• Monitor procurement of materials, equipment and labour against time schedule and suggest improvements.
• Administer contracts and assist in resolving disputes.
• Assist QA/QC in ensuring quality parameters are met.
• Support safety team in implementing safety standards at site.

Job Description Summary

Construction Project Engineers work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are executed according to plan.

About the Role:

• Monitor progress of work with respect to Master project schedule
• Monitoring the execution of work at site to ensure alignment to the drawings and specification.
• Timely reminders to all contractors about the delays in schedule
• Ensuring the workability and adherence to standards in the work statement/methodologies submitted by contractors for each item of work and ensuring the alignment to the same at site. Responsible for all site work related documentation for the assigned items of work.
• Anticipate and flag imminent bottlenecks. Take steps to avoid delays. Furnish necessary reports of critical activities and super critical activities to client.
• Advice contractors in enhancing the resource productivity by implementing various work study techniques.
• Monitor procurement of materials, equipment and labour by contractors with respect to the time schedule and advise them suitable measures for improvement.
• Administration of all contracts, and assistance in resolution of differences and disputes, if any, arising during the duration of contract.
• Assisting QA/QC - in - charge in ensuring all quality parameters are met.
• Assisting the safety team in implementing the safety standards at site; provide all support for making job safety analysis.
• Escalating to project manager about all abnormal developments with respect to progress of work, safety, quality, resources etc
• Clarifies specification and continuously liaise with accountable Project Manager internal.
• Monitors construction activity, schedule, milestone and adherence to budgets and initiates actions to minimize non-conformance cost.
• Provide cost saving solutions and negotiate contractor change orders.
• Manages the project's risk management process.
• Implementation of systems requirements in the installation and test plans of the Contractor for the detailed planning and construction phase until final takeover is completed.
• Ensure project construction & safety management plan are fully implemented.
