Job summary

This Position reports to:

Project Operations Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will Lead planning, scheduling, and cost control efforts for all project phases of individual delivery for small to large size projects in coordination with the project manager. Each day, you will manage and analyze actual and forecasted schedules, costs, revenues, and cash flow. You will demonstrate your skill by diligently monitoring, reporting, and managing deviations.

This role plays a key part in supporting Automation within the Energy Industries, helping deliver efficient, reliable, and digitally enabled project execution that enhances productivity and sustainability for our customers.

You will be mainly accountable for
  • Overseeing project execution and performance, ensuring accurate schedule, cost, cash flow, and risk planning for individual projects.
  • Analyzing project requirements to ensure that all essential activities are identified in sufficient detail to support realistic project schedules.
  • Developing and maintaining properly linked, resource-loaded schedules with time-phased baseline, actual, and forecast data.
  • Monitoring project progress and regularly analyzing the critical path to ensure that key activities and milestones are on track.
  • Identifying, escalating, and providing solutions for schedule and cost deviations proactively.
  • Preparing and presenting comprehensive project performance reports and metrics to support management decision-making.
  • Supporting the Project Operations Manager in improving tools and processes.
Qualification for the role
  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a reputed university with 6–8 years of experience in Project Management, Planning, and Project Controls.
  • Proven expertise in planning and executing large-scale Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or Telecommunication projects, including management of small to medium-sized project portfolios.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Planisware, and Microsoft Office Suite for project scheduling, critical path analysis, resource optimization, and forecasting.
  • Strong experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems for cost tracking, budget monitoring, project costing, financial reporting, and forecasting.
  • Hands-on expertise in Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, and reporting tools to develop dashboards, analytics, visualizations, and project performance metrics.
  • Good understanding of Energy Industries and industrial production processes, with knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, automation, and telecommunication project requirements.
  • Familiarity with the full project lifecycle, from planning and execution through commissioning, handover, and operational readiness.
  • Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, analytical problem-solving, change management, conflict resolution, and time management skills, with a focus on delivery, quality, and continuous improvement.
