The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in steel detailing, advanced knowledge of Tekla Structures, and at least 5 years of project management experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Steel Detailing team.

Job Responsibilities

• Requires good experience with Structural Steel Detailing & Designing work
• Provide technical guidance to drafting and junior engineering personnel and co-ordinate design and drafting work within assigned area
• Create and prepare project-related materials and documentation to support internal teams and project execution
• Coordinate project-related details between clients and production staff while ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards
• Collaborate with HQ to ensure all project requirements and specifications are achieved
• Schedule and allocate project resources to meet construction timelines and client delivery expectations
• Effectively coordinate project modifications and adapt to changing project requirements as needed
• Define project roles, responsibilities, and deadlines to ensure efficient workflow and accountability among team members
• Conduct daily reviews of project progress and provide feedback through task management systems in accordance with JMT Tekla project workflow procedures
• Prepare, track, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and design change summaries throughout the duration of the project
• Monitor and adjust project activities to ensure alignment with JMT Tekla project workflow procedures and delivery schedules
• Prepare drawing packages for client submission in accordance with scheduled project deadlines
• Review and revise drawing packages to ensure compliance with client standards, specifications, and quality requirements
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to production staff as needed to maintain project success and take delivery accountability
• Design and develop project solutions as required to meet project objectives and client expectations
• Foster a collaborative, motivated, and productive team environment throughout all phases of the project lifecycle

Qualifications

• Under Grad: B. Tech/B.E. - Civil, Mechanical
• Diploma: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization, PG Diploma - Any Specialization, Civil, Mechanical
• 8+ Years of experience in the Steel Detailing industry willing to consider candidates who can demonstrate significant experience in a related field
• 5+ Years of experience in Project Management
• Advanced level of knowledge of Tekla Structures
• Must know AISC & CISC Standards
• Considerable proficiency and experience in working on Commercial US Projects
• Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction, fabrication, and the ability to read drawings
• Proven project management and coordination skills
• Self-motivated and ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance
• Deadline-driven with attention to detail
• Must have 5+ years’ experience in AISC / CISC Projects
• Must have good communication skills. (Written & spoken)
• Must have good experience in Model Checking & Erection Checking
