Job summary

Veoneer is seeking a Project Manager to lead India OEM programs (4-8 years). Based in Bengaluru, you will drive planning, execution, and governance of automotive product development, coordinating across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to meet milestones and customer expectations.

You will manage budgets and risks, develop detailed project plans, and ensure documentation is reviewed and approved from initiation to deployment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex automotive product development projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement skills.
• Understanding of service delivery processes, tools, and standards.
• Knowledge of P&L concepts, budgeting, cost control, and forecast accuracy.
• Experience with Indian OEMs, preferably safety-critical automotive systems.

What Will You Do?

Project Leadership & Execution

• Planning and execution of product development projects within the automotive domain.
• Ensure all projects are aligned with overall business goals, customer expectations, and organizational strategy.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, deliverables, milestones, and risk assessments.
• Track project progress, maintain schedules, and ensure timely delivery of project phases.
• Review and approve documentation throughout project initiation, development, integration, testing, and implementation.

Financial & Resource Management

• Analyze project‑related financial data to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
• Implement, manage, and monitor project budgets in line with cost targets.
• Calculate financial and operational risks, propose mitigation strategies, and maintain risk registers.
• Produce financial summaries, dashboards, and executive‑level project reports for senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Distribute, allocate, and optimize resources to meet project requirements.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Indian OEMs.
• Manage customer expectations, provide regular updates, and drive resolution of escalations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
• Ensure strong alignment between customer needs and internal project execution.

Process Improvement & Governance

• Review and update existing project management processes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across project planning, execution, and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to service delivery processes and tools, maintaining high‑quality project governance.
• Foster cross‑team collaboration and promote operational simplicity and efficiency.
