Job description

Experienced project manager responsible for leading large or multiple small-scale software development projects. Manages teams of 4–8 members, oversees budgets up to $1M, and ensures project profitability. Requires strong skills in project planning, execution, stakeholder communication, and team development. Must have 10+ years of experience, a technical degree (B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA), and PMP® certification. Preferred experience includes working with Agile/Waterfall methodologies and managing regional or global teams.

Responsiblities:
  • Support one or more large projects or Lead and direct multiple small projects.
  • Manage teams generally with a size of 4 to 8 FTE consulting team members and manage annual consulting revenue up to $1M which may include work with 3rd party consultants.
  • Handle fixed fee contracts with or without reward/penalty terms. Administer projects to completion with a duration between 6 to 12 months comprising 1-2 products.
  • Responsible for project or program profitability.
  • Accountable to get customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions reordered in detail to establish project deliverables.
  • Measure project performance and monitor progress, identify and quantify variances.
  • Take corrective actions and communicate to stakeholders. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs and facilitate customer acceptance.
  • Manage project resources and positively motivate staff to achieve project results and develop. Appraise team member skills.
  • Participate in or lead bid preparation or approval for projects of size and complexity for this job level
Basic Qualification:
  • B.Tech/ M.Tech/ MCA degree with 10 years of related work experience in a software development environment.
  • 10 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
Preferred Qualification:
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle concepts (Waterfall and Agile) and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience working with local, regional and multi country project teams.
  • 7 years of interacting with client and internal management
