Job summary

Haleon is seeking a Senior Manager in Transition & Project Management to own end-to-end delivery of multi-year programs crossing functions and regions. You will define standards, govern delivery, and ensure realization of business outcomes while leading a team of project and program managers.

You will partner with global leaders to prioritize work, manage resources, and implement standardized delivery methods, blending Agile, hybrid, and waterfall approaches to drive value across Haleon’s

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in project, program, or portfolio management.
• Proven delivery of large-scale, global, cross-functional programs.
• Experience with senior leaders (Director/VP level).
• Background in consumer goods, healthcare, or multinational environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project & Program Management capability within the GCC; define standards and governance.
• Coach and develop Project/Program Delivery leads; drive workforce and career development.
• Lead large, enterprise-wide programs; shape vision, success metrics, and delivery strategy.
• Develop integrated program plans with timelines, resources, and financials; track progress.
• Establish governance aligned with Global PMO; manage budgets, benefits, and risks.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies; escalate to senior stakeholders as needed.
• Engage Directors, VPs, and leaders globally; communicate progress and trade-offs clearly.
• Champion standardized delivery methods and continuous improvement; apply Agile/hybrid approaches.
• Provide leadership across a portfolio and partner on prioritization and value realization.
• Serve as a SPOC for PM community and drive high-performing delivery organization.

You’ll be empowered to own end‑to‑end delivery of multi‑year, multi‑workstream programs that cut across functions, regions, and operating models.

Your Role (Senior Manager Level)

The Transition & Project Management function has end‑to‑end accountability for planning, governance, and successful execution of Haleon’s strategic initiatives—spanning business transformation, digital enablement, process excellence, and operating model evolution. As a Lead Senior Manager, your role is pivotal in shaping the capability growth and Project programme management strategy, Resource management and front‑ending delivery, and ensuring realization of business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Capability & People leadership Own and lead the Project & Program Management capability within the GCC, define capability strategy, establish standards, governance, tools, methodologies and maturity roadmaps.
• People Leadership & Talent Development Lead, coach and develop Project Managers, Program Managers and Delivery Leads; drive workforce planning, succession planning, performance management and career development.
• Program & Project Leadership Own and lead large, complex, enterprise‑wide programs with multiple interdependent projects. Shape program vision, success measures, and delivery strategy aligned to Haleon priorities. Drive portfolio prioritization, sequencing, and capacity planning in partnership with senior leadership.
• Planning & Delivery Management Facilitate discovery and planning workshops to define scope, benefits, milestones, and dependencies. Develop and baseline integrated program plans, including timelines, resource models, and financials. Track progress rigorously against plan; proactively course‑correct to ensure outcomes are achieved.
• Governance & Financial Control Establish and run robust governance frameworks aligned with Global PMO standards. Prepare high‑quality content for executive reviews, tollgates, and steering committees. Monitor budgets, benefits realization, and risks; manage changes through formal change control.
• Risk, Issue & Dependency Management Anticipate and manage complex cross‑functional risks and dependencies. Act as primary escalation point for delivery, resourcing, or decision bottlenecks. Drive clarity and timely decision‑making with senior stakeholders.
• Stakeholder & Executive Management Build trusted relationships with Directors, VPs, and functional leaders globally. Communicate progress, trade‑offs, and outcomes clearly and confidently at executive level. Maintain a structured stakeholder engagement and communication plan.
• Ways of Working & Continuous Improvement Champion standardized delivery methods, tooling, and best practices. Drive continuous improvement in program delivery maturity across the GCC. Leverage Agile, hybrid, and waterfall approaches as appropriate to business needs.
• Portfolio & Strategic Leadership Provide leadership across a portfolio of complex transformation programs and partner with executive leaders on prioritization, investments and value realization.
• Additional Leadership Expectations Serve as key SPOC for the Project & Program Management community and build a high‑performing delivery organization. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, ways of working, and team effectiveness while delivering measurable business value.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience 15+ years of progressive experience in project, program, or portfolio management. Proven delivery of large‑scale, global, cross‑functional programs in complex environments. Strong experience working with senior leaders (Director / VP level and above). Background in Consumer Goods, Healthcare, or large multinational environments preferred. Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high‑performance culture while supporting individual growth and career development.

Skills & Capabilities

Deep expertise in program, project, and portfolio management principles. Strong track record of managing projects through their full lifecycle, leveraging recognised methodologies and best practices to deliver scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives. Strong financial acumen including budget ownership and benefits tracking. Demonstrated resilience and leadership in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments. Excellent communication, influencing, and executive presentation skills. Hands‑on experience with PM tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Planview, Teams). Certifications PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or equivalent project/program certification preferred.
