Role Overview

CBRE seeks a Project Lead for Real Estate Portfolio Valuations to join the Valuation Excellence (VALEX) Team. This role combines strategic portfolio management, stakeholder coordination, and deep valuation expertise. You will oversee pan-India portfolio valuations for REITs, InvITs, and RE investment funds while driving innovation and automation across the valuation delivery model.

Core Responsibilities

As Project Lead, you manage complex, high-stakes valuation assignments for institutional clients across India across REITs, InvITs, funds, and private investors.

Serve as the central coordinator between clients (often CFOs and investment committees) and internal regional teams, ensuring seamless communication, delivery and quality. You will be the single point of accountability.

Own project timelines and quality standards. Deliver valuations on schedule and in compliance with CBRE's quality frameworks.

Build and maintain client relationships to secure repeat business and identify upsell opportunities.

Provide asset-specific insights and market knowledge to clients. Translate technical valuations into clear, actionable recommendations.

Lead active involvement in valuation discussions and finalization with regional teams across North, South, East, and West India.

Review all reports for content quality and compliance with CBRE standards before client delivery.

Lead or support VALEX innovation initiatives that drive automation and improve team efficiency.

Identify opportunities to standardize processes, reduce manual work, and implement new valuation tools.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must bring:

A minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in real estate valuation within India.

Proven track record valuing core assets (office, retail, warehousing, hospitality, residential) across multiple Indian cities.

Strong financial modeling and analysis skills; comfort with DCF, income approach, and comparable sales analysis.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex projects with competing priorities.

Clear communication skills; ability to explain valuation methodologies and findings to non‑technical clients.

Educational background in civil engineering, real estate, architecture, or a related field (B.Tech, M.Tech, or equivalent).

Desired Qualifications

MRICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent professional certification.

Experience in REIT and InvIT valuations across key metros.

Familiarity with CBRE's valuation processes, tools, or technology platforms.

Prior experience managing a small team or mentoring junior valuers.

Background in capital markets transactions or investment advisory.

Willingness to travel across regions for client meetings and team coordination.
