Job summary

Hero MotoCorp is seeking a Project Lead- MLH EV in Jaipur within Research & Development. The role focuses on introducing new products, upgrades, and refreshes for customer segments, driving speed to market and quality across gates.

You will represent R&D in cross-functional teams and manage end-to-end product development from planning to SOP. You should have a strong background in vehicle integration, EV development, and program management, with hands-on experience in PLM/CAD and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)
• Post graduate degree in Management is preferable

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, monitoring and control from concept to SOP
• Coordinate across R&D/Production/Supply/Quality and Sales for timely delivery
• Ensure adherence to system architecture and stage-gate reviews
• Oversee EV product development with focus on speed to market and first-time-right quality

Project Lead- MLH EV

A purpose driven role for you

Purpose of role is to introduce New product, Upgrade & Refresh for respective customer segment/product platform in achieving customer delight and project QCT targets.
Focus on new initiatives for achieving Speed to market, First time right quality and EBITDA at every gate
Represent R&D Function at organisation level CFT and Lead the overall project across the organisation.
Stake holder alignment within & outside R&D to meet Q,C,T targets
Responsible for Project planning, monitoring and controlling of all product and process development relating issues of projects (including product planning, R&D, Production, Supplier Sourcing, Quality, and sales & marketing) from initial phase up to SOP – either internal or external projects.
Should be well versed with automobile product development cycle.
Responsible for system adherence and project stage gate review management and approval process.
Must have know how of working on PLM/CAD/MS Project

1) Accountable to introduce New product, Upgrade & Refresh in respective customer segment achieving customer delight
2) Responsible for target achievement (QCT) for his/her projects and if there is any risk to mitigate or escape

Academic Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor/ Masters in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronics)
• Post graduate degree in Management is preferrable

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• 1) Sound experience in Vehicle integration/ System architecture/ New Product Development and Project Management
• 2) Sound experience in EV product development
• 3) Experienced Scooter and motorcycle rider
• 4) Profound project management skills
• 5) New product development- Key exposure to Vehicle integration, Layout and packaging, Chassis or body design development, Component, Product level testing
• 6) Project management skills- Planning, Monitoring and control, Management Reporting, Conflict and Risk management
• 7) EV Architecture Understanding-Battery technology, BMS, Powertrain, VCU, Telematics, Software interface etc
• 8) Analytical and problem solving skills- Six Sigma Green/Black belt
• 9) Business Acumen-Cost estimation, Investment and financial viability business case workout
• 10) Understanding of Manufacturing process- facilities, layout, Supplier, tool maker’s integration in tool/die design and development
