Room to Read is not able to provide sponsorship.**## Position Overview:The Project Field Coordinator will work closely with the Program Associate in engaging with the respective schools in the assigned blocks of Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand as part of the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy initiative in Jharkhand. They will support the Program Associate in the execution of the program at field level, visit schools as per the defined touchpoints, strengthen the BPMU and cluster-level platforms under NIPUN Bharat, and coordinate with various stakeholders to sustain the impact and interventions from the program. The position will report to the Program Associate.## Responsibilities:### On-ground implementation**:*** Develop a thorough understanding of Room to Read's literacy and numeracy program design along with NIPUN Bharat guidelines, NCF-FS, NCF-SE and SCF-Jharkhand.* Interact with government officials at block and cluster level (CRPs, BRPs, BPOs, BPMs, BEEOs) on a day-to-day basis to deliver on program objectives.* Work with teachers, B/CRPs, BEEOs and BPOs/BPMs to implement the program and its innovations.* Identify operational bottlenecks and report them to the Program Associate with suggested solutions.* Organise and lead monthly block and cluster level meetings with BEEOs, BPOs/BPMs, HMs and B/CRPs.* Participate in events, campaigns, meetings and trainings, online and in person.### Technical Support/Monitoring and Data Collection**:*** Visit assigned schools as per the defined touchpoints.* Observe the classroom and the library period using the prescribed tools. Share action points with the teacher, HM and CRPs before leaving the school.* Handhold teachers to transact structured pedagogy in the classroom. Demonstrate the lesson where needed, observe the teacher transact it, and give feedback against the prescribed tool.* Support teachers to record individual children's learning levels through RAIL and other teacher-led assessments, and to use that data to identify children who need targeted support.* Support teachers to plan and deliver targeted support to those children, and check progress on the next visit.* Conduct joint visits with B/CRPs as per the defined touchpoints, so that B/CRPs can carry out the visit and give feedback on their own over time.* Check the previous visit's action points at the start of each visit and report those still open to the Program Associate.* Support the Program associate in planning and running monthly review meetings, including documentation and data.* Act as resource person for teacher training, BRP & CRP training and for follow-up after training.* Enter visit data in the prescribed format within the agreed timeline. Track and report performance on key indicators as per the M&E framework.### Communication & Documentation**:*** Documentation and communication of program achievements/outcomes through reports and notes.* Preparing and managing documentation related to program implementation e.g., approvals, letters, etc.* Support to preparing regular (monthly, quarterly and yearly basis, including program data) qualitative reports and documenting case studies and best practices* Documentation of on-ground learnings and knowledge received from the ground to support coalition partners internal capacity / knowledge building.## Qualifications**:**### Required:* Bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent is required.* Work experience of minimum 1-3 years in development sector* Experience with on-ground program implementation mandatory* Knowledge of Foundational Literacy concepts.* Experiences working with government in education sector and teachers training is required.* Fluency in Hindi (spoken, written, and reading) is required and basic communication in English is preferred.* Desired skills include written and oral communication skills, ability to adapt to emerging situations, interpersonal skills and networking skills, ability to work on tight deadlines## Compensation:Room to Read offers a competitive salary with excellent benefits.
