Job summary

Adani Green Energy Ltd. seeks an experienced E&M project professional to plan, engineer, procure, and oversee electromechanical packages for hydro and pumped storage projects.

You will lead interface meetings, drive progress with contractors, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.

A BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in Hydro Power projects/Pump Storage projects or large infrastructure projects involving electromechanical systems.
• Experience in engineering coordination and project execution.
• Knowledge of GIS, GSUT, Auxiliary Transformers, and GCB systems.
• Exposure to procurement, vendor management, and contract administration.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, MIS reporting, and cash flow monitoring.

Job description

Planning, engineering, procurement, execution, coordination, and monitoring of Electromechanical (E&M) systems for Hydro and Pumped Storage Projects, ensuring timely delivery, technical compliance, effective contractor coordination, and successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical interface meetings among E&M contractors, Civil contractors, and Owner's Engineer (OE) to close coordination points and avoid design and execution conflicts.
• Conduct fortnightly review meetings with E&M contractors to monitor progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolution.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors/suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and completion of installation activities.
• Provide engineering inputs for E&M systems/equipment across design, procurement, and execution phases.
• Assist in review, coordination, and finalization of engineering documents related to GIS, GSUT, Auxiliary Transformers, Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB), and associated systems.
• Support connectivity studies and ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.
• Coordinate technical approvals with internal teams, OEMs, consultants, and design agencies.
• Participate in technical discussions with vendors during bidding and execution stages to achieve technical closure of E&M packages
• Prepare Division of Works for E&M packages and define scope allocation among stakeholders.
• Follow up with vendors and sub-vendors to ensure timely manufacturing, inspection, dispatch, and delivery of equipment.
• Prepare and circulate weekly Major Document List (MDL) status reports for expediting engineering approvals.
• Provide inputs for MIS reporting related to E&M packages and bought-out items.

Education Qualification & Experience

• B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in Hydro Power projects/Pump Storage projects/power generation projects or large infrastructure projects involving electromechanical systems, engineering coordination, procurement, project execution, commercial administration.
• Experience in engineering coordination and project execution.
• Knowledge of GIS, GSUT, Auxiliary Transformers, and GCB systems.
• Exposure to procurement, vendor management, and contract administration.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, MIS reporting, and cash flow monitoring.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including contractors, consultants, OEMs, and internal teams.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and project coordination skills.
