Job summary

Tata Projects Limited in Mumbai seeks a seasoned Project Controls & Planning professional to establish and manage planning, scheduling, cost controls, progress measurement, risk management, and governance for large-scale high-rise residential and mixed-use developments.

You will develop integrated master schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project, set up WBS, monitor progress, perform EVM, and prepare dashboards for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required.
• 10–22 years of experience in Project Planning & Controls.
• Experience with large residential townships, high-rises, or mega urban infra projects.
• PMP/PSP or Primavera certification preferred.
• Strong exposure to Primavera P6-based project controls.

Project Controls & Planning

Tata Projects is seeking an experienced Project Controls & Planning professional for the prestigious Project in Mumbai. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing and managing project planning, scheduling, monitoring, cost controls, progress measurement, reporting, risk management, and project governance systems to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of large-scale high-rise residential and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare, develop, and maintain integrated master schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Establish project work breakdown structures (WBS), milestones, critical paths, and resource-loaded schedules.
• Develop detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning schedules.
• Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and identify schedule variances.
• Conduct critical path analysis and recommend recovery plans.

Project Controls & Monitoring

• Set up robust project control systems, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
• Track project performance through KPIs related to schedule, cost, productivity, and resource utilization.
• Analyze planned vs. actual progress and identify corrective actions.
• Ensure alignment of site execution with project timelines and contractual obligations.

Cost Management & Earned Value Analysis

• Monitor project budgets and cash flow projections.
• Perform earned value management (EVM) and productivity analysis.
• Track commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and cost-to-complete.
• Support management in identifying cost-saving opportunities and mitigating overruns.

Progress Measurement & MIS Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for senior management and clients.
• Develop executive dashboards highlighting risks, delays, achievements, and forecasts.
• Present schedule and cost performance reviews to project leadership.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.

Risk & Delay Analysis

• Identify risks impacting schedule and cost performance.
• Conduct delay analysis and impact assessments.
• Support claims management and extension of time (EOT) assessments when required.
• Develop mitigation and acceleration plans for critical activities.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Quality, Safety, Contracts, Commercial, and Client teams.
• Facilitate planning review meetings with project stakeholders.
• Ensure timely inputs and updates from all disciplines for project reporting.

Resource Planning

• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material deployment against project requirements.
• Conduct resource forecasting and optimization exercises.
• Support project leadership in capacity planning and productivity improvements.

Digital Project Controls

• Utilize Primavera P6, Power BI, MS Project, Excel, and ERP systems for project controls.
• Develop automated reports and analytics for management decision-making.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives within project controls functions.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• PMP, PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), or Primavera certification will be preferred.
• MBA/PGDM in Project Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 10-22 years of experience in Project Planning & Controls.
• Experience in large residential townships, high-rise buildings, mixed-use developments, or mega urban infrastructure projects.
• Prior experience on projects exceeding multi Crore is preferred.
• Strong exposure to Primavera P6-based project controls.
