Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Bengaluru seeks a qualified Project Controls Specialist to oversee project schedules and budgets for renewable energy projects. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with over 3 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in project management software. The role demands collaboration across various teams, excellent communication, and attention to detail. Candidates with experience in solar project development are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in project controls, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• Experience in implementing project control systems for large-scale renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Critical Path methods.
• Manage project budget and conduct EVM analysis.
• Report project controls performance to stakeholders.
• Monitor budget tracking and maintain accuracy of project costs.

Responsibilities

• Project Schedule Development and Maintenance, including: proficient use of Critical Path methods.
• Construction of Master – Subproject relationships.
• Proficient use of resource & cost loaded schedules.
• Proficient employment of PERT method (nice to have).
• Global resource pool management.
• Risk weighting of project schedules.
• Adoption of project scheduling best practices.
• Forensic schedule analysis.
• Schedule performance analysis.
• Project Financial and Risk Management, including: Project Budget and Contingency.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis.
• Development of EVM S-Curves.
• Reporting of Project Controls performance to key stakeholders.
• Capex Reporting.
• Budget Tracking, including burn rate and comparison between EMC or Control Budget.

Knowledge / Experience

• It is desirable to have experience in solar project development and/or construction.
• Detail-oriented individual who proactively identifies, investigates, and resolves issues and discrepancies related to invoices and purchase orders to maintain data accuracy and ensure smooth project cost control.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across functions to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring timely processing of invoices for payment runs.
• Efficient at data capture and processing.
• Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA system for invoice processing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
