Job summary

Surbana Jurong North Asia seeks an experienced Environmental Expert to support infrastructure and development projects. The candidate should excel in environmental safeguards, EIA studies, and compliance with global standards, working across multiple sectors.

Role involves coordinating with authorities, consultants and communities, and delivering robust safeguard reports and monitoring plans essential for project approvals and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in environmental safeguard and development sectors.
• Strong understanding of environmental safeguard frameworks and lender requirements including IFC/World Bank/ADB/JICA.
• Knowledge of national regulations for environment, health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments and due diligence per IFC/World Bank/ADB/JICA and other multilateral agencies.
• Prepare and review environmental management plans and related compliance reports.
• Coordinate with project authorities, consultants, contractors, government agencies, communities and monitoring teams.
• Prepare reports, presentations, monitoring frameworks and project documentation.
• Contribute to implementation and monitoring of safeguard measures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Carry out EIA studies for environmental clearance and related studies.

DesiredProfile

• Experienceacrosssectorssuchastransport,renewableenergy,industrialareas,manufacturingfacilities,urbaninfrastructure,orrelatedsectors
• Stronganalytical,communication,reportwriting,andstakeholdermanagementskills

PreferredQualification

• Postgraduatedegreeinenvironmentalengineering,environmentalscienceorrelateddiscipline(followedbydegree/certificationinindustrialhealth&safetywillbedesired)
