Job summary

Afcons Infrastructure Limited, a leading Indian infrastructure company, seeks a Senior Project Coordinator with 12–18 years of experience in marine and industrial projects. You will manage commercial, procurement, contract variations, risk identification, and coordination with HO and site teams.

Travel to project sites will be required as needed. The role emphasizes meticulous planning, budget review, and timely project updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Essential).
• 12–18 years of experience in Project Coordination for marine & industrial projects.
• Willingness to travel domestically or overseas; office-based with site visits as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review risk identification, quantification, and mitigation plans.
• Monitor project health and progress reporting at weekly, monthly, and quarterly intervals.
• Review variations, cooperate with Head Office Contracts and Site Contracts teams on contracts.
• Visit project sites to review progress and identify bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with Finance for fund releases and with Insurance for bank guarantees and policies.
• Coordinate with Design for construction drawing approvals.
• Lead marine project coordination for BU Marine & Industrial projects.

Roles and Responsibilities 02

• Reviewing Risk Identification, Quantification, and Mitigation Plan.
• Reviewing Project Health status on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis and updating management about Project Progress.
• Reviewing variation work in the project.
• Coordinating with Head Office Contracts, Project Manager and Site Contracts team for matters related to Contracts (Variations and Extension of Time)
• Project site visit to review the project progress and understanding the bottleneck of the project.
• Reviewing fund intend and coordinating with finance department for releasing the funds.
• Coordinating with Insurance Department for Bank Guarantee and various Insurance Policies.
• Coordination with Design Department for getting approval of Construction Drawing.
• Specialized Roles and Responsibilities for Marine Projects
• Project Coordination for various BU Marine & Industrial Projects involving the construction of Marine Jetties, Berths, Breakwater, LNG Tanks, Harbors, Quay Wall, Material Handling, Industrial Structures and Green Energy Projects.

Key Objective of the Job Position

• To undertake timely and accurate Project Coordination work involving, Commercial, Subcontract Management, Procurement, Budget review and Risk Identification for smooth functioning of the Project

Education Qualifications

• Educational Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Educational Desirable: Master’s Degree in Civil engineering, PGDM- NICMAR

Computer Software Proficiency

• AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point, Knowledge of Primavera / MS Project.

Experience Range

• Minimum 12 to 18 years of experience in Project Coordination function at Head office involving Marine & Industrial Projects
• Mostly Office Job and occasional visit to Sites. Required to work on computers for long hours and pay great attention to detail. Should be able to handle stress well. May need to work extra hours to ensure that the projects meet their deadlines. May need to travel to work sites at domestic or Overseas location. Deal & convince all types of people (including project manager, Project Controller and Business Unit Head.
