Job summary

Valeo North America Inc. is seeking a Project Buyer to lead purchasing activities for advanced projects. The role requires coordinating with project teams, suppliers, and segment organizations to secure competitive bids, define sourcing plans, and ensure QCD targets across Pre-SoCo, SoCo, and SOP stages.

The candidate will manage RFQ processes, leverage PuMa for supplier reviews, and drive early involvement of productivity actions to support seamless transitions to serial production.

Qualifications

• Experience in project purchasing is preferred.
• Knowledge of RFQ and SoCo processes is beneficial.
• Understanding of supplier risk assessment and mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support all project purchasing activities from NPA/PRKF to SOP until project closure.
• Prepare Sourcing Plan and define mutual PTM commitments for Pre-SoCo, SoCo, and SOP.
• Coordinate with Project and Segment organizations to identify bundle opportunities and ensure QCD targets.
• Manage RFQ processes via PuMa and Auctions (Live or Online).
• Liaise with productivity buyers to align on P/N for Business Link applications.
• Ensure proper transfer of responsibilities to serial production and proper documentation.

We are leader on our businesses, and recognized as one of the largest global innovative companies.* As member of project team attends Project Meetings (WOOOM, ...), leads and/or suports all project activities where purchasing is involved (NPA, PRKF, Sourcing Plan, PSC,PMC, IAR, TOGO, FDPR, ISVA, SOP) till completion of project closure. Supports Project Manager in Preparation of Sourcing Plan to define mutual PTM commitments and conditions to proceed with Pre-SoCo (RFQ), SoCo (Award) and SOP at required QCD conditions.* Confirm project team commitments in L2 Planning in Puma.\"* Selects supplier bid-list based on Compliant Segment Panel and liaise with Project and Segment organisations to identify Bundle opportunities* Identifies Critical Parts as per CLEAN definitions and review contingency plan with related PTM (anticipated design Reviews, S-VRF, possible specification changes...).
