Job description

Program Manager-Investigation Excellence Team, Central Operations

Job ID: 10576873 | ADCI HYD 13 SEZ - H84

Investigation Excellence (IE)
At Amazon we believe that every day is still day one. A day to take the first step and a day to look forward to new challenges. And today is that day for you. It's your day to be part of something great. A day to make your ideas come to life and your day to join a company that redefines itself every day. That's the energy and passion behind Amazon.
investigation Excellence Overview
Investigation Excellence (IE) is the deep-dive team within ATS Central Operations, owning root-cause investigation across Amazon's European Transportation Surface Transportation network. IE dives deep into every DEA miss — tracing VRIDs from origin to destination, separating true root cause from recovery, and ensuring each disruption is attributed to the right controllable owner. Rather than accepting metrics at face value, the team operates at the lowest level of detail, audits the data themselves, and stays connected to the specifics. IE plays a critical role in giving the network an honest, accurate picture of performance — which is what allows the right teams to fix the right problems and keep Amazon serving customers on time.
Purview of a Program Manager
As a program manager within Investigation Excellence, your role centers on diving deep into transportation execution data to uncover the true drivers behind DEA misses, and on inventing and simplifying the way we investigate — turning manual, repetitive deep dives into scalable, automated solutions (e.g. Kiro, Quick investigation tooling). You will own root-cause classification and attribution logic, drive accuracy and standardization so investigations can be consistently applied across teams, and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. You hold a high bar for quality and data integrity, look for ways to eliminate effort rather than add it, and foster cross-functional collaboration. Above all, you provide leadership and direction that keeps IE operating as a high-performance, self-sufficient investigation team — focused on efficiency, accuracy, and simplification.

  • On-going generation and creation of reporting.
  • Analyzing data to outline any reasons for under/over performance and take actions to improve performance.
  • Support the delivery of productivity targets for all KPI's
  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of metrics.
  • Work closely with leadership to identify “hot spots” and take appropriate actions to minimize any impacts.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with operations and support functions to provide internal customers with information/data needs in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate and implement opportunities for improving workflow processes and automation of processes. (Using Excel VBA or in any other tool)
  • Raise awareness to any areas for development or recognition.
  • Convert all excel reporting to tool (Quick sight, SQL, Tableau etc).

A day in the life
Typically begins the day by reviewing and analyzing data to track key performance indicators and identify trends. They collaborate with various departments to gather information and ensure accurate reporting, while also preparing and presenting reports to stakeholders to inform decision-making processes. Additionally, they may oversee the development and implementation of reporting systems and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of program or project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
