Job summary

NationBuilding Foundation of India in Gurugram, Haryana, invites applications for a Program Manager to design, develop, and execute cross‑functional initiatives driving NationBuilding. You will lead diverse teams, set objectives, track progress, and build relationships with researchers, policymakers, and industry practitioners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognised institution.
• Relevant experience in program management, consulting, research, public policy, social impact, education, healthcare, science, industry, or related fields will be an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience of taking projects from conception to execution.
• Strong academic or professional track record.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of programs and initiatives from concept through implementation.
• Lead and manage large, diverse teams to deliver programs effectively.
• Set clear objectives, priorities, roles, and deliverables and ensure strong execution.

1. About NationBuilding Foundation of India

India has made significant progress, but its growth continues to create new challenges and opportunities for change. The NationBuilding Foundation of India (NBFI) believes NationBuilding can be a shared purpose that enables people to take responsibility, contribute meaningfully, and drive positive change.

2. About the Role

NBFI is looking for a highly motivated and capable Program Manager to drive the design, development, and execution of initiatives that contribute to NationBuilding. The role will involve working across the organisation's priority areas, translating ideas into well-structured programs, managing execution, and working with a diverse set of stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. The Program Manager will have significant ownership and will be expected to combine strategic thinking with strong execution. The role will involve understanding complex problems, developing practical approaches, coordinating across stakeholders, and ensuring that initiatives move from intent to action.

a. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of NBFI programs and initiatives from concept through implementation.
• Lead and manage large, diverse teams to deliver programs and initiatives effectively.
• Set clear objectives, priorities, roles, and deliverables for teams, and ensure strong execution against them.
• Build high-performing teams by providing direction, mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Translate strategic objectives into clear work plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
• Identify and resolve operational and execution challenges, making decisions to keep programs on track.
• Conduct research and analysis to understand issues, identify opportunities, and inform program design.
• Build and manage relationships with relevant stakeholders, including young professionals, academic institutions, industry practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and other organisations.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure effective and timely delivery of initiatives.
• Track program progress, identify challenges, and take corrective action where required.
• Develop presentations, reports, briefs, and other communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to building systems, processes, and institutional capabilities that enable programs to scale and create sustained impact.
