Job summary

Texas Instruments in Bengaluru, India seeks a Program Management Engineer to lead cross-functional teams and drive new product releases with strong ROI focus. You will coordinate across Design, Manufacturing, QA and Field, ensuring on-budget delivery and timely status updates to leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of project engineering/management and proven leadership across global teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross functional team on the execution of releasing new products and ensuring ROI for every development across Design, Marketing, Systems & Applications, Validation, Product & Test Engineering, Firmware/Software, Manufacturing, Field, and Quality
  • Coordinate with wafer fabrication, assembly & test sites to guarantee schedule, cost and quality
  • Plan the project using MS Project from Assess Opportunity Phase to Release to Market and ensure on-budget delivery
  • Provide clear direction to team and external support organizations like device fabrication and assembly/test sites
  • Drive and motivate all team members for flawless execution of each product/project
  • Provide weekly/monthly updates to senior management on project status and issues
  • Interact with customers on project status, milestones, deliveries, samples, and special work requests
  • Perform product reliability and characterization to meet product and manufacturing requirements
  • Work with failure analysis to determine root causes of reliability/qualification failures
  • Maintain up-to-date project schedules with milestones
  • Develop and implement Qualification plans
  • Communicate status to management weekly
  • Coordinate material logistics and shipment/assembly/test prioritization
  • Maintain Galileo system per new product development guidelines
  • Grow number of new products and forecast ROI

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will challenge teammates to achieve flawless execution goals, while maintaining strong working relationships. Success in this role is measured by the ability to grow the number of new products and drive the forecasted return on investment.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead a cross functional team on the execution of releasing new products and ensuring successful return on investment for every development; the team consists of Design, Marketing, Systems& Applications, Validation, Product& Test Engineering, Firmware/Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Field, and Quality
  • Work with wafer fabrication, assembly& test sites to guarantee schedule, cost and quality
  • Plan the project using MS Project from Assess Opportunity Phase to Release to Market and is responsible to make sure the project comes in on budget
  • Provide clear direction to both, team and external support organizations like device fabrication and assembly and test sites
  • Drive and motivate all team members critical to the flawless execution of each product and project
  • Provide weekly and monthly updates to senior management on status of projects, explaining the issues facing a project
  • Interact with customers in support of project status, key milestones, and deliveries. This includes samples deliveries, special work requests, wafer lot starts and reliability tests
  • Perform product reliability and characterization of integrated circuits to ensure they meet the product requirement specifications and manufacturing requirements
  • Work with failure analysis (FA) to determine root cause of any reliability and qualification failures
  • Maintain thorough and up-to-date project schedules with all related milestones
  • Develop and implement Qualification plans
  • Communicate weekly to management on status of each project
  • Effectively coordinate material logistics and shipment/assembly/test prioritization
  • Maintain Galileo system per new product development guidelines
  • Success will be measured by the ability to grow the number of new products and drive the forecasted return on investment.
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree
  • 5 years of experience with project engineering/management experience on highly complex products/projects
  • Proven leadership capabilities in leading multifaceted global organizations
  • Successful proven track record in indirect management and influence
Preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and set realistic plans based on required tasks with available resources
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and lead global development teams on projects that include design, silicon fabrications, production test development, qualification and production ramp; Programs will be driven out of multiple global locations
  • Ability to provide clear direction to both internal teams and external support organizations like device fabrication and assembly sites
  • Knowledge of device packaging and wafer fabrication process
  • Knowledge of reliability requirements and tri-temp characterization methodology using statistical analysis
  • Ability to work in a team environment and understand cross-functional team dynamics
  • Ability to work with global customers to align project schedules with customers' key milestones
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
