Role Summary
The Production Planning Executive will support the Production Manager in developing and executing production plans for diamond jewelry manufacturing, coordinating across Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Production and Quality teams to ensure timely delivery, inventory availability and adherence to quality standards. The role requires monitoring daily production progress, generating regular reports, driving corrective actions for deviations, and identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to create detailed production plans based on customer orders, inventory and capacity.
- Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service to gather order requirements and communicate production schedules and priorities.
- Monitor daily production progress, identify deviations and implement corrective measures.
- Work with Procurement to ensure raw material availability and manage inventory to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Provide regular updates and reports to Sales, Customer Service and other stakeholders on production status and key metrics.
- Partner with Quality Control to ensure production meets quality standards and address quality issues promptly.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in production planning and execution.
Roles and Responsibilities

- Monitor daily production progress against plan and implement proactive measures for deviations.
- Work with Procurement to ensure availability of raw materials and manage inventory levels.
- Provide regular updates and reports to Sales, Customer Service and other departments on production status and metrics.
- Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure adherence to quality standards and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in production planning and execution and implement best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in production planning, preferably in diamond jewelry manufacturing.
- Diploma or Graduate degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Detail-oriented, proactive and able to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with ability to collaborate across departments.
