Job summary

Amazon Bengaluru's Production Planning team seeks an experienced operations planner to build network-wide staffing and capacity plans, partnering with FC ops, HR, finance, supply chain and other functions.

You will analyze capacity data, forecast staffing costs, and drive cost optimization initiatives while collaborating with global teams across Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in operations, engineering, business, economics, analytics or mathematics.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute short/medium/long-term operational plans to optimize staffing costs.
• Forecast warehouse staffing/capacity metrics using statistical modeling to drive collaborative decisions.
• Analyze capacity planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities; identify root causes and drive forward-looking actions.

At Amazon, customer success drives our mission. The Production Planning Team optimizes capacity across Fulfillment Centers/DS/SSD FCs through innovative solutions planning. We seek diverse perspectives and experiences to strengthen our global operations and customer experience.

This role requires expertise to develop network-wide strategies and drive operational excellence. Collaborate with multiple business teams including FC operations, HR, finance , supply chain, transportation, work force staffing and others.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute short/medium/long-term operational plans to optimize staffing costs.
• Supporting with warehouse staffing/capacity metrics forecasting using statistical modeling to drive a collaborative decision-make.
• Responsible for warehouse processing capacity planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities; focus on understanding data deviations, their root causes, and driving forward-looking opportunities
• Analyze capacity planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities and be able to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global teams across Europe.
• Support Production planning and cost optimization initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

- - - Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, Economics, analytics, mathematics.

- - - Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.

- - - Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data

Preferred Qualifications

- - - Experience with SQL and Excel

- - - Experience working in a fast paced, quickly changing or international environment

- - - Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines

- - - Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or equivalent

- - - Experience with operations/supply chain

- - - Ability to closely work with operation, finance and planning leaders to manage lead-time, capacity, and optimize the impact of labor on supply position throughout the entire supply chain
