Job summary

Epiroc in Nashik is seeking a proactive Production Planner to develop and manage detailed production schedules. You will coordinate with Assembly, Purchasing, and other functions to ensure feasible delivery plans and accurate finish dates for production units.

You will use MRP/ERP systems (M3 preferred) and MS Office tools to maintain up-to-date plans, analyze capacity requirements, and optimize material flow from warehouse to production. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in production planning.
  • Experience with MRP/MPS systems and ERP (M3 preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Assembly, Purchasing and other functions to create a detailed production plan.
  • Keep production plan up to date and act as planning coordinator for area of responsibility.
  • Perform capacity need calculations to ensure load balance on production lines.
  • Verify SO costing, BOM items and lead times before SO closure.
  • Schedule material releases from warehouse to production and check material availability.
  • Minimize shortages by coordinating with owners and reacting to deviations in material flow.
  • Lead re-planning efforts to address capacity or material supply issues.
  • Contribute to lead-time reductions, inventory control, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Production, Sourcing and Engineering to review orders and provide accurate delivery commitments.
  • Monitor inventory and WIP, and resolve issues with obsolete or slow-moving stock.

Job Title: Production Planner
Job Description/Mission
  • Work with Assembly team, purchasing teams and other functions to make a detailed production plan.
  • To keep the production plan up to date and to be the planning coordinator for their area of responsibility.
  • Make capacity need calculations and ensure 100% capacity load to production.
  • SO opening and closing on time, std cost verification before SO closing, extra material analysis. Resolve errors in costing and BOM items before SO closure.
  • Schedule when materials shall be released from the warehouse to the production.
  • Check material availability before SO releasing, co-ordinate with owners to minimize the shortage before production start. React to buyer/planner in case of suspected deviations in the flow of incoming materials.
  • Handle upcoming situations of deviations in capacity or material supply and take necessary steps to re-plan the production.
  • Take part in improvements to reduce lead times, increase flexibility, reduce inventories, increase productivity, and improve processes.
  • Work with Marketing, Production, Sourcing and Engineering to review customer orders and have realistic delivery commitments and provide accurate promised production finish date for production units.
  • Contribute to inventory target to balance the delivery and inventory; monitor and control material in stock & WIP; resolve the disposition of obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
Experience Requirements
  • Should have experience to work on ERP e.g. M3 would be preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office tools.
  • Practical experience of working with MPS MRP system.
Educational Requirements
  • Full time Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering with 3-5 year relevant experience.
