Job summary

Calderys is seeking a Production Supervisor in Odisha to oversee the manufacturing of Monolithic and PCPF refractory shapes. You will read drawings, plan moulds, and ensure first-piece verification before bulk production, aligning with SAP PP processes.

You will drive EHS adherence, maintain 5S on the shop floor, coordinate with QA/QC, and manage manpower to meet production schedules while reporting via dashboards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of producing Monolithic & PCPF refractory shapes.
• Ability to read drawings and understand shapes.
• Familiarity with SAP PP module.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to EHS guidelines and ensure quality & process control.
• Oversee production of Monolithic/PCPF shapes as per orders.
• Read drawings and prepare mould indent; ensure timely mould delivery and first piece check.
• Manage kiln loading/unloading and firing/drying per QC calendar.
• Book production in SAP and reconcile stock with physical counts.
• Promote 5S culture and participate in KAIZEN improvements.
• Coordinate with other departments and ensure proper housekeeping.
• Allocate manpower and supervise shopfloor workers.
• Maintain production dashboards and ensure productivity targets.

Job description

• Following, respecting & establishing all EHS guidelines, protocols etc in workplace
• Ensuring quality & process control during production as per QC.
• Ensuring Production of Monolithic/PCPF as per production order.
• Reading of drawing of shapes, indent preparation for moulds/other inputs. Follow up for moulds for timely delivery. Checking of moulds and ensure first piece checking before allowing bulk production.
• Ensuring kiln loading & unloading and firing/drying as per schedule provided by QC team
• Ensuring booking of production in SAP and match book stock & physical stock
• Ensuring participation and encourage team in KAIZENS (improvements jobs)
• Participation in all EHS initiatives
• Ensuring proper housekeeping after job completion
• Ensuring proper coordination with other departments
• Allocation of manpower and taking work from workers.
• Production dashboard management and ensure 5S culture at shopfloor

Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics:

• Knowledge on production of Monolithic & PCPF Refractory Shapes.
• Knowledge on study of drawing and understand shapes.
• Knowledge on SAP PP module.
• Basic knowledge on computer operating like MS office.

Requirements:

• Qualification: Science Graduate/Diploma
• Work Experience: 3-5 years
• Age Limit: 35 years.
• Preferred: Work experience in refractory/Core manufacturing Industries
